I'm staying at my parents for a few weeks to watch Zora (yay puppy sitting) and I want to do some fun hiking and such with her. She's 18 weeks on monday.
She can take pretty long walks, but when she over tires she gets.... well... annoying. She's too heavy to really carry far distances, so I don't want to take the risk.
I want to start easy up near Frankenstein's Castle (Yes. I'm Serious. We live close.) The trails are pretty nice, but there are some up and downs. You can choose how long you want to walk.

How long would you recommened going with her/How many miles would be OK? AND what should I bring, besides stuff like water?

I started hiking with Harlow when she was a wee one. I just let her pick her own pace and distance and everything was fine. As long as you aren't forcing exercise, I don't see why it is a problem.

Pan is 11 weeks. Since we are on vaycay right now we have been taking him on Some easy hikes. We go at his pace and he let's us know when he needs a break. Tyler carries him and I also bring my large hiking backpack to throw him in when he gets too tired. If there is a large section of stairs or a steep area I usually carry him or give him a helping boosts up the steep parts when he is determined to climb it.
