I was trying to decide which is making me more productive - a bit of hard rock or some banging psytrance.

I still can't decide...

We rigged up a boom box in the Blackhawk we used when going to make some noise in Bosnia. When I got the 5 minute warning from the pilot, i'd holler to the guys...

"FIVE MINUTES!! HIT IT DAVE!"

Dave was my assistant squad leader. He would procede to play that song, LOUD. Got us in the proper mood to do the nights work...

The memory of seeing 8 dudes, heavily armed and armored... Jacked up to do some dirty, but necessary work, gives me excited chills to this day. None of us really liked the work we had to do, but if we HAD to do it, lets do it the right way and in the right mood. Ya know?

I can only imagine what the bad guys thought, seeing us come rolling out of that bird... Death metal playing loudly, with us looking like pissed off aliens, coming for them. (With our Night Optics on, in uniform with helmet... we looked like things from another planet....)
