So today I was out walking Fable, and someone came up to me and commented on what a beautiful blue heeler I have. Now Fable is definitely a heeler, but she is in no way, shape, or form, blue. This is not the first time that people have mistaken her for a blue heeler, but what I want to know is how they don't know the difference between a blue dog and a red dog. (My favorite is when I tell them she is a red heeler and they ask what the difference between the two breeds is. Same breed, different color).
Anyway, I wanted to ask you guys what people often mistake your dogs for. Fable most often gets called a coyote or dingo, but people also sometimes think that she is a German Shepherd. I just find it interesting that so many people don't know what a lot of very common breeds of dogs are (granted I have been immersed in the dog world for so long I can't remember back to the time when I didn't know better, but still).
