I get SO many different guesses on Archie wherever I go! I've heard Doberman, Rottweiler, Bernese Mt. Dog, Lab, Dachshund, German Shepherd, Corgi, Sheltie, Collie, Australian Shepherd, Border Collie, Lancashire heeler, and I'm sure there's more I'm forgetting.

I definitely think he's some kind of Corgi mix, Pembroke or Cardigan I don't know.

Either way, I think a lot of those guesses are... off... Anyway, He's about 40 lbs. He's not very big, he's just kind of heavy. He's 10 years old, so he's not as active as I'm sure he used to be. But I think he acts like a herding breed.

What do YOU think?

I see Rottweiler...with what, I don't know. Some sort of herder, I'd guess. Cool looking dog. Front feet are turned out...maybe Cardigan corgi?

I dont see rottie or dobie. Looking at his shape, not his fur color. I see collie in the muzzle, ears, and fur length.

I see Rottie and Border Collie (or Aussie)... and there's probably a few other things in there as well. He's a cutie, whatever he is!

He definitely has a collie breed in there. (I'm thinking either Sheltie, Collie or border collie) My bet would be border collie and maybe some corgi mixed with some non-herding dog, but he definitely has a strong herding influence in him. I don't see any rottie or dobe at all.

Yeah, I was thinking either border collie or rough collie. Definitely could be corgi in there too. No other breed comes to mind.

Australian cattle dog popped into my head when I saw that. With some border collie for the longer ears...

Teeheee... See what I mean? :p

Anyway, I really don't see rott or dobe in him whatsoever. Doesn't act it, doesn't look like it, isn't built like it. Only the colors are the same-- but almost all of the other mentioned breeds have black and tan, too.

The breeds I think of most for him are definitely Corgi, Cattle Dog/Heeler, and Collie/Sheltie. He just doesn't have the intensity of those breeds, but It could obviously be because of his age.

Collie head, with a splash of hound color, and a couple others. Got to be mixed with 4 or so different things. Any guess is as good as any other.
