What breed is my puppy?

My boyfriend just gave me an adorable baby girl. He was told that she was a Peke, but I don't think she looks like a pure Peke, maybe mixed with something else? What do you think? She is two months old and weighs 2.6 pounds. I love her no matter what she is!

Yeah, looks pretty much exactly like a shih tzu to me... Maybe your BF got the breeds wrong?

Was the pup supposed to be from a breeder? She does look like a Shih tzu to me. That said pekes from a less than great breeder could just look off as their parents may not have been to standard (and might have had some shih-Tzu attributes).

she may be mixed her face does not quite look like a peke but she is cute little ball of fur

that is one super cute puppy!!
shih tzus seem to be pretty diverse in the looks department - as a kid, i had one that looked almost exactly like a lhasa apso, the other had quite a bit more of the peke looks.
