What are you thankful for?

Every Thanksgiving at dinner we talk about things that we are thankful for. Kind of a tradition I started.
Thought maybe we could talk about what were thankful for.

I am thankful I have my family. Each one of my kids are precious.
I am thankful for Jim. Even though sometimes I could strangle him
I am thankful for our soldiers who are over seas fighting.
I am thankful for day after thanksgiving day sales. Keeps the crazys in one place:lol-sign:
I am thankful for another season I get to spend with my family
I am thankful for Chaz and the members here

Happy Thanksgiving

Thankful for my critters.. they get me through more than they know..
For my job.. and my ability to do it well...
My family.. Mom, Dad and Brother specifically..
My close friends.. and my Chaz pals..
For nature and all it's beauty and it's resilience and ability to recover from everything we can dish out..

In my Bible Class last weekend, I asked my 12 years old students what they're thankful for, and here are their answers.

Life, Faith, their souls
Families, specially mommys & daddys, Friends
Water, electricity
Shelters, food
Warm, Nature, Health
MTV, video games, electronic devices, computers
Thumb - otherwise she wouldn't be able to use her hands!
Eyesight
Music

Pretty insightful kids, eh?

For myself, I'm thankful for everything on my students' list, specially my Faith in God which has helped me through and through. Our families, friends and three little furkids

I'm thankful for a working, healthy mind and body.
Chazhound! All the support and knowledge here. . .the people who I am close to here.

A roof over my head.
The abilty to learn and grow.
I'm thankful for the support I get from people.
I'm thankful I have full use of all 5 senses.
I'm thankful for the ability to connect with nature and be around little critters, plants, rocks, and hear birds chirping.

I am thankful for Rob and Matt. Those two make my life complete.

I am thankful for Kona. She is my best friend, my little girl, my heart dog.

And last but most certainly not least.

I am thankful to have friends like you guys. I know I don't post a whole lot, but I still think each and every one of you are a dear friend to me, even if we have not talked a whole lot.

I'm thankful for my family (dogs and cats definitely included). I love them more than anything in the world.
I'm thankful for my friends -- Chazzers definitely included -- who drive me crazy, yet keep me sane.
I'm thankful for my life. I spend so much time complaining about it and very little time appreciating that the majority of it has been wonderful.

I am Thankful for..

My warm house.. without it I would be sad.
Hot water.. cold showers really do suck.
A car.. I would have to take a cab everywhere and that can get expensive.
The Internet.. without it I would be BORED!!
Clothes.. forget it.. nudist colony here I come!!!
The 2 overgrown pooches.. I will always love you!!

Last but not least..

My husband.. These past 8yrs I have grown up and have learned A LOT!!
My children.. Everyday is a new day and I am more then thrilled and excited to be spending it with you three!!!

I am thankful for life, such as it is. My general health as it is pretty good right now and the fact that I am able to BE thankful for so many things.

I am thankful for our soldiers and I pray that they make it home in order to spend some holidays with their families, I can not imagine what they are going through.

I am thankful for our vet, Dr. Sangha because she saved our Buddy and he is here to spend the holidays with us. I am thankful for Banzai because he has brought some light and happiness into Buddy's life that neither my husband nor I could ever give him, and he has brought smiles to our faces and made our home and hearts more complete.

I am thankful for my husband. We've been through so much in this first year of marriage that I'm not quite sure how we made it through everything, but we did. And our love is as strong as ever.

I am thankful for my family. Even the nutcases and psychos. And especially my aunt, she has been such a guiding force this last year, I'm not sure how life would have been without her everlasting support.

And finally, but certainly not the lowest on my list... my friends. And yes, chazzers that includes you all. A life is incomplete without those that one can turn to.. so thank you all.

There are many more things that I am thankful for... a roof over my head... food... and even those are necessities (such as food) they just seem to materialistic at this point. I'm thankful for life and all that it entails.
