Holly's not afraid of anything in particular. She's unafraid in a brave, "I can take you" sort of way. She's the first one to run after ANYTHING in the backyard.

Rig's not afraid of anything in particular either, but in more of a "too dense to know better" way. Holly will run after something and he'll follow with a "I have no idea what you're chasing, but yup, I'll go too" look on his face. You would think he'd develop fears of, say, toads for example. He ate or chewed one once and was horribly sick for a few days. A week later... he was off hunting. So now we check the yard every time we let the dogs out for cats, squirrels, slow chipmunks and lurking toads.

Oh, he is afraid of me being gone. As soon as he figures out I'm leaving and not taking him he starts crying. After I'm gone he mopes in my office. If I call home he starts crying and wailing (I'm partly deaf so our phones are high volume ~ scared the crap out of me when "The Captain" used to call). And when I come home he'll be at the door all happy, then totally ignore me for a few hours.

Jesse.... Jesse's a spook. He's scared to walk on his own so we always have to take one of the other dogs along. He's afraid of anything on wheels (bikes, rollerblades, skateboards). He's nervous when people get in his face or come up behind him. He's big and has very expressive, gentle eyes so people are ALWAYS trying to get in his face. "Ohhhh, poor scared doggy... Can I pet him? Don't be afraid of me doggy, I won't hurt you" Meanwhile he's trying to back up around the nearest tree. The one fantastic thing about him is that he IS gentle, one of the kindest dogs I've ever had. We take him for walks in the park every week, he's improving.

Wet grass and ocean waves. If he has to pee and the grass is wet, he stands right at the verrrrrry edge and then runs like hell back to the door when he is done.

People playing tennis on a court totally wigs Lily out.

And yet she loves tennis balls and has no problem with tennis rackets away from that context. Weird.

Any sort of microphone/PA system, Recon is terrified of. (because noise)

He's also afraid of cats he doesn't know, and going for car rides.

Patton is fearless, thankfully. :)

Trash bags. Not poo bags or grocery bags but bust out the hefty bags and she's losing her ****.

The only strange thing he's afraid of is metal pots. I assume it's the noise but he's not afraid of noises in general. If I open the cabinet they're in he tucks his tail and slinks out of the kitchen. He's even left his half eaten dinner to flee the potential pots.

Also this

We went for a walk and that was on someone's front lawn (or something super similar) and he got all freaked out. It took us a while to pass that house, I don't think he was ever fully convinced the donkey wasn't going turn on him, he kept looking back over his shoulder.

Most of his other fears are things I suspect are fairly common. Like giant inflatable lawn ornaments.

Indy and Enzo aren't afraid of anything, or anything we've run across anyway.

Ozzy is afraid of Dobermans, though that's not quite so weird, as he was attacked by two at a very young age, maybe twelve weeks old?

Harrison goes in and out of weird fear periods. He was afraid of brooms, now he wants to eat them, then he was afraid of the floors cleaners at lowes, now he doesn't look at them.

Ozzy is afraid of gunfire, but not fireworks. The others don't care about gunfire.

All in all, they're not afraid of much. Harrison is an environmentally sensitive boy, but I'm working on getting him comfortable, but I don't mind so much, and it's somewhat of a breed trait to be a bit suspicious of anything weird.

I would definitely not say he's afraid of people, but he's not a "let me love you dog" and he's not like Indy who is happy to "go say hi" and receive her due accolades. I prefer this, as it makes him much more aware of people, and he's been a lot easier to teach body blocking to. Unfortunately, people still see "GSD puppy" and want to smoosh him, and I'm just like "no". I'm hoping one day he'll look like a grown up lol. Even if he is bigger than Indy by two inches now, people still recognize "PUPPY!!!!"

Also, screaming. Neither Indy nor Harrison like screaming. Indy has endured enough of it that she just stares, and doesn't move, but it's obvious it makes her uncomfortable. Harrison freaks.

Haha! I guess some of my dogs' weirder fears aren't completely unique after all!

Brooms, mops, and swiffers. Literally his only fears, and I have no idea why. Maybe too many fell on him when he was a puppy zooming around the house, and maybe he's just weird.

He'll always get up and move when we pick up a broom, and goes out of his way to avoid them indoors. But when we ask him to touch it he'll still do it (reluctantly).
THIS for Jasper, seriously. Like, I sweep EVERY DAY and it's still totally concerning to him. I think it's because the broom tipped over onto him a few too many times, but he really hasn't let that one go...he is also deathly afraid of dishes falling out of the dishrack, onto the floor. Probably because they crash and then I freak out haha.

And cords, or things that resemble cords. If you circle him with a cord on the floor, it's about as effective at containing him as a crate would be.
Onyx hates cords too!! She always moves if she notices that one is nearby, especially if it moves.

She also doesn't like feathers, but it's more of a love/hate thing...she will leap backwards if she sees one and hop around and bark at them. I should really get a video of it sometime, it's kind of hilarious.

She was scared of vehicles as a puppy but that is something we have worked through.

Yarrow is mostly just completely utterly terrified of humans...I guess that is kind of weird ;)
