Weird Thing About My Horse

Lately, she'll only let me catch her if I sing to her. Isn't that weird? She usually lets me walk right up and ride her, but now it's only if I sing to her. She especially likes "All the Pretty Little Horses", "Would You Go With Me", "When the Stars Go Blue", and "Life Ain't Always Beautiful". Why do you think she only lets me catch her when I sing? It's like an enchantment or something. She begins to walk, but then I sing, and she halts and looks at me until I finish. Isn't that weird?

Howdy Honey Bear!!! Indeed, horses can be so peculiar at times, just when you think you know about their behavior, they'll do something quite out of character.

I use to have to lie down in the pasture and pretend i was asleep to catch my welsh pony. I discovered that when i was just too tired to run after her anymore. My father bought her for me greenbroke, said here's your horse and that was the end of any training or help on his part. She and i worked out the rest on our own. Boy did i hit the ground a lot. One neighbor said it was a good thing i could bounce.:yikes: if my mother knew she would have had a cow. I think i was around 10 at the time.

She didn't do it today. Horses are so "I'll do my own thing" type, but that's why I love em!!!!

Maybe the soothing sound of your vocie makes her comfy, I know that Jessie(my mare) is very picky about the mood I am in when I ma around her... Horses are odd, But I love em
