We moved into a new place this last weekend and at the new place we have a deck, but there's no railing on it. The first night here (Sunday) Simi was going out to pee and fell off the edge of the deck, about a three foot drop. She kept going and didn't seem too off. Had a very slight limp Monday, and jumped off the side of the deck on purpose, and then Tuesday started limping a bit. Today she is only slightly putting weight on her front right leg. I have had my hands all over it, no heat I can feel, no swelling, doesn't pull back when I move it, extend it or bend it. But is limping and will hold it up when not moving.

I am going to give her a couple of days of limited exercise. Unfortunately she has to go up and down stairs to get in and out of the house, but I am limiting how fast she goes, etc.. And keeping her very calm.

Vibes she gets better quickly. We finally have a yard for her to play in and now as soon as she gets here, she hurts herself.. Always this stupid leg, too. But the vet hasn't been able to find anything to show why. She hurt it when she was a puppy out playing in the snow and has been lame in it probably 4 times since then (She will be three in September) but this is the worst it has been.

Traumeel is a homeopathic anti-inflammatory... I use it on my guys if they have an injury or do something crazy I think will injure them, and it's a staple in our first aid kit at all times. I buy it at GNC and I think a few other "crunchy" stores around here also have it, you could try looking at health food stores!

My Victor was pushed off of these concrete stairs and came down on his leg wrong once. The vet said ti was very hard to tell when carpal is cracked but that was what he felt had happened. It was splinted and I thought all fixed up. Now and again he will do something that will have him favoring it all over again, not as bad as the first time, but still. Don't know if that is what your dog has nor not, but it sounds similar. Many vibes for a poor piddy paw, hope it heals quickly,

I love your comment of "crunchy" stores. :D

Pretty sure my BF gave the same to his GSD a few weeks ago when she tweaked a toe at an agility trial. I had never heard of it before, but she was good to go the next day pending some rest, so (if he did in fact give it to her, I can't recall..) it doesn't sound like there'd be any reason not to try it!

Vibes for Simi! She wanted to give you a first day to remember. LOL.

I hope she heals up quickly! If you've had her x-rayed before with no results She prob just tweaked something enough to make it hurt during weight bearing activities. I have the same problem in my wrists, a little rest and it goes away. Muffin has a mystery limp too. It poops up when he does something stupid and goes away after a good nights rest. He's a drama queen though and my first thought with him is always "liar!" LOL.
