There's already pro-hunting/anti hunting threads guys. Take it there. Besides, whoever did that isn't a real hunter. Just a thug with a gun. The important thing is that that wound looks better and Bo may be able to make a full recovery. That would be awsome. Go Bo!

I realize some of you are bored with this, and think I shouldn't have brought it here, but you would have to know this dog. In fact, some of you do..... just call your own dog over and look into its eyes and you will see Bo.
Thank you so much for the update! and shame on anyone who thinks you should not have brought the story here  This is a dog forum, this is a dog, so please do not listen to them!

I am so glad Bo has started to make a recovery from his shooting. I just can't believe someone would do such a thing.. that's just horrible.

I hope he doesn't lose his leg and all that surrounding tissue that's open there on his flank area. I see a lot of what looks like necrotic tissue there. Maybe they can debreed the area and promote good granulated tissue to develop so he can heal.

I will keep him in my thoughts and prayers. Keep us updated on his progress. I don't know who led you to believe that we are bored with hearing this story or that you shouldn't have brought it here.. but I can assure you that many of us do want to hear about his progress. And I couldn't think of a better place for you to bring this story... we are a dog forum the last time I checked!

Nah it's entirely dependant upon marksmanship. I'll hunt white tail with a 22-250 on occasion, but I'm not exactly a run-of-the-mill marksman, and I prefer my 7mm Magnum (roughly .275 calibre) because of round stabillity and range. Though I agree with you; .22 calibre weapons should generally be used for smaller game.

Oh I love people who grew up always having food on the table.
Well I guess when the end of the world comes, at least you will be armed.. ;)
