On top of everything that's going on with my hubby's ankle, we are going to see my parents tomorrow in Savannah, GA. We will be gone for a week. Well, Andy is a little smelly so I though I'd run him by a groomer while I ran some other errands. My normal groomer was all booked up, so I called the petsmart grooming dept. (big mistake I know, but I was desperate) They told me since he was still a puppy -6 months- that it would only be 15.00. Great! So I made the appt and arrived right on time. Well, the stupid lady asks three times what breed of dog "she" is. I finally got it through her thick head that he is a sheltie and she is a he. She prints out the invoice for me to sign....$55! :yikes: I freaked! All I wanted done was a bath and nail trim. She said the cut off age for the puppy package is 5 months. I told her that I had been told $15 on the phone, but she wouldn't believe me. Whatever. I told her that no one in their right mind would pay that much for a bath! My regular groomer charges $25 and that includes nail trimming. Needless to say I left very upset. It was almost a 45 minute drive and i wasted two hours. Andy is still dirty...guess I'll stay up late and bathe him myself tonight.
