Thank you so much! She is. She really, really is. When I decided to take her, it was mostly going off the fact that the breeder/friend told me I'd like her, and it'd be a good match. I didn't even know how right she would be - I spent the first few weeks 100% convinced it was a fluke and we'd start having problems after the honeymoon phase...but nope. Still perfect.
She's sweet, earnest, loving, engaging, bouncy, snappy, eager, fun, turns "on" in half a second but settles perfectly at home. Easy to take with me everywhere and great nerves and sociability.

And I'm still not entirely sure what happened to Trent's foot, but after talking to the rehab vet and mentioning it to our general vet the best bet is that Siege might have knocked into him or jumped on him while I wasn't paying attention (they don't usually play together unless both are let off leash to run). It was scary because we woke up one morning and he didn't even want to get up, and the roommate was out of town with the car and it was on a Sunday. Ugh.
But in 24 hours he'd made a full recovery and wasn't showing any signs of pain at all - we went to the rehab bet a week later just to be sure it wasn't signs of a bigger problem, and it doesn't seem to be. He has been getting more easily injured from high impact activity though so we're going to continue with the visits and try water therapy because that'd be really good for him
