So sorry it's taken me so long to check back in with you all. We still HAVE NOT gotten any results back from his MRI. I've talked to our Pathologist and she feels that it's probably a carcinoma on his thyroid gland from the location. She say's that's "good news". I beg to differ!! He isn't feeling well at all...I'm debating today whether I should drive down and take care of him for the day. I appreciate all of your thoughts and prayers so much!! I don't have any news to report. Brandon's going to call on Monday morning.

He will be 19 on March 7th.

Dena, first of all....((((HUGS)))) i know this is really scary.

The reason your doctor said thyroid cancer would be good news is because the cure rate is very, very high. If you have to have cancer, this is a good one to get. I guess what she meant was that if this is what it is, it is thankfully easy to deal with. usually they surgically remove the entire thyroid gland, then blast any remaining tissue with radioactive iodine. Then the patient just goes on thyroid supplement for the rest of their life.

Fortunately, thyroid supplements are effective, simple, and ridiculously inexpensive. So hang in there--everything should be OK.

I will be thinking of you, waiting for more info...and if you have any questions or need me for anything, I'm here. One thing I do well is decipher what they are telling you. Just pm and I can give you a number and/or email address.

I'd be calling the office Monday am asking for my MRI results.. I'm not a patient person when it comes to my health. The doctor should be able to call the radiologist and get the results pronto.

Thanks Cin!! I'm not patient either and believe me...if he weren't 18 I would be calling!! I'm going to be on him first thing in the am to call!!
