oh boy oh boy..i just returned from a 3 hour wait at the "quick" clinic of children's mercy hospital. Hyia had a temp of 103 and it would not come down after motrin or anything else GG tried. She said a person just has to have it checked out when it won't come down like that. WE got there and of course the place was packed. I got to sit in the car with Vic and Mary because it was raining so they couldn't stay outside. Sitting in the car for three hours is beyond Victor's sensibilities so lots of no's and go lay downs and stop its. We have all had our flu shots..guess i will keep my fingers crossed. sigh

not bird flu..that would have been like OMGNONONOTHE BIRD FLU....trust me. The flu isn't any good for any of us tho. YOu think differently when your mama is 81 and now complelety exposed. She sat in the clinic for 3 hours..and is caring for the child. I am the back up..and that is the way she wants it set up for now. She will let me know the day she is ready to hand over her baby..i will not ever step in the way of that relationship. WE both know the teenage years will be mine (oh boy )....i tease her all the time she gets the best end of the deal.

Ugh! I'm knocking on wood everyday that the flu hasn't hit our family yet. Its a horrible thing to go through. I pack the kids with that antiseptic gel and tell them to wash their hands every chance they get with it. Especially in school. I hope Hyia feels better soon!

I feel so bad that I can't go see Hyia but I can't risk Jory getting the flu on top of his ear infection. I hope I'm not the one who gave it to her in the first place.

Mommy's do suffer.!! I do hope she's better. I finally went to the doctor today and am on antibotics. My BP was up, but I think that was because of my thinking something worse might be wrong. Can't leave our Chaz !!

I just had the flu. Got over it in a day thanks to Airborne and this stuff I found called oscillococcinum. Its by a company called Boiron and this stuff did wonders. It cleared me up within 2 hours of taking it. You just let it dissolve in your mouth and it tastes just like sugar. Try it out, it's awesome.
