Valdez, Tanner, Bug, Haluna, Khuno and Nika are like old folks at a retirement home, who get excited about silly little things like bingo. They talk amongst themselves about the good ol' days of being in harness and working for a living, and then laugh because they realize how good they have it in retirement. Nika, specifically, reminds me of Fran's gramma on The Nanny. Yanno, that little old lady with the huge glasses who can barely hear and never knows what's going on, but is always happy to be there.
Windy is like a wise old grandmother with many grandchildren, who thinks everyone needs to just slow down and enjoy a good nap. Calm, cool, collected, unexcitable, nothing phases her.
Arthur is still (even in his older years) like a teenage boy who is always looking for a chance to show that he is bigger and badder than all the other dogs. Crazy and wild until the end, always looking for an adventure.
Archie is like the spoiled rotten six to ten year old boy who got whatever he wanted all his life, makes his parents do whatever HE wants to do, and avoided punishment by putting on that ultra-adorable face and sweet-talking his way out of anything.
Mikoa is like a young teenage girl whose parents left her, one who never had it good in life and had to work hard for what little things she was given, and though she now has it good she still fears abandonment and rejection.
