Every year we go to the big family gathering at Brians cousins house. It's always fun and TONS of food. My dad will be here to visit that week as well. he came for one thanksgiving and once he got a taste of all that food and now I think we'll be stuck with him every thanksgiving ;) LOL

We'll have the usual... Turkey, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, stuffing, etc. I won a free turkey from my bowling league so I'm going to ask if we can provide the second turkey for the meal (they always make two lol) and then dessert later on. We usually take a walk between the dinner and dessert if it's nice out. Dessert will be the usual pumpkin pie, apple crisp and my personal favorite... ice cream dessert. it's the best dessert on the planet. it's vanilla ice cream and vanilla pudding mixed up together and put on top of a ritz cracker crust with whipped cream on top. That salty with the sweet vanilla... Oh man lol. When they know I'm coming they always make sure to have the Ice cream dessert... I have a reputation lol.

What am I thankful for? pretty much everything lol. God has blessed us SO far beyond what we deserve. I have the most wonderful, considerate, loving husband, an amazing 6 year old with a big beautiful heart that never ceases to amaze me and make me laugh, a home that is nothing fancy and it is small but it's also warm, doesn't leak, and provides us everything we need and more, good food in our bellies, clothes on our back, my husbands job which pays well and allows me to stay home and homeschool. We have everything we need and then on top of that we have the extras, the fun things. We aren't rich in the money department but we are rich in love and life. For all of that and more... I am thankful.

I think Ryan and I are going with Megan (SpringerLover) to her family's Thanksgiving. Last year we went to her family's and her boyfriend's family's Thanksgivings. I think Megan said we are in charge of salad? lol

I am thankful that I have such awesome friends, that I have a pretty cool boyfriend, that I have been able to go back to school, and that despite their best efforts this year, both dogs are still alive :lol-sign:

That's the plan, stan. Salad, or something like it.

All of my animals have tried to kill themselves so far this year. Thankfully none of mine have succeeded either.

I'm also going to SO's family's Thanksgiving. Since my entire family consists of 5 people and his consists of about 30, it'll be interesting.

It's at his aunt and uncle's, and I don't know them super well, but I asked his dad to let them know I want to help cook. I'm hoping I can go over that morning and help, but if not I'll probably make stuffed mushrooms, chocolate chip cookies, and maybe biscuits or a veggie dish. And I'm sure they'll do all the typical thanksgiving foods.

I'm thankful for my family, my health (and healthcare, since my health isn't always that great), a stable place to live, my chance to go back to school, the usual :)

We always go to Grandma's house, we'll do the same this year. I'm trying to decide what to make since the entire meal is basically a gluten and processed foods fest... so I have to cook something of my own to take. Probably a sweet potato thing. Last year I think I did bacon wrapped meatballs...

We'll be doing DH's family Thanksgiving on Thursday and then spend some time at our cabin with my family and have a big Saturday meal.

Usual thanksgiving foods - except DH's family does duck instead of turkey and there are always plenty of desserts!

I'm thankful for it a all! Great husband, dog, fam & friends. Couldn't ask for anything more!!

My whole family (my mom's side, anyway) goes to my aunt's for dinner. I'm not sure if I'm going to make it this year, as Gusto and I are hitting the road for seminar that evening. Hopefully "dinner" will be early afternoon, which we often do, so we can eat and then hit the road with full bellies!

Due to a lot of family changes this year, we are the only ones left locally with a house (DH's parents moved to Ohio, his grandparents moved to a continuing care community, his brother is in a tiny apartment), so we are hosting! My parents are flying in for the week from California and staying with us, and his family is coming in on Wednesday and staying through the weekend. Grandparents will be coming for the day on Thursday.

Food...I don't care about food. I don't like Thanksgiving foods, so I'm going to try to sneak a lasagna or something onto the table!! There will be traditional foods, but generally I just eat bread and salad on thanksgiving.

I am grateful for a wonderful husband, loving family, good jobs, and the bestest doggy I could ask for :)

Man I love Thanksgiving. We are supposed to be spending it at my sister's house, since she and her husband just bought one this summer. But she is pregnant and due in December so that is subject to change based on how she's feeling!

Traditional Thanksgiving meal, here - turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes & gravy, pumpkin pie. Mmmmmmm. So excited.

We'll be going to my sister in law's house to hang out with Matt's family.

I'm thankful my in-laws are only staying for a week? That's rude but they were not exactly awesome last time they were here and this visit is shaping up to be more of the same. :\ I'm far more excited about Christmas, which we'll be doing by ourselves for the second time ever.

We're having Thanksgiving at our house this year, with my mom's family. There will be 21 of us total (we're also having our pastor and his family over this year too :)).

I think it would be easier to list what's NOT on our menu:rofl1: I mean we're having 4 different meats... Turkey, Ham, Beef Brisket, and Slice Pork lol We're also having these amazing honey butter croissants that I'm super excited about :D

Thankful for family

I'll be here local (Fairfax, VA) with several generations of relatives. I'm thankful for my fiancee, my business, and for having food on the table.

I work at a dog boarding kennel and thanksgiving is one of our busiest days so unfortunately I will be working on thanksgiving evening. Don't have any plans since my family and DH's family are both planning to celebrate on actual Thanksgiving when I'm at work.

Oh well...

Things I'm thankful for: I have a job at least. Im thankful for my hubby and for our amazing dogs and cat. I'm thankful to have a roof over my head.

My SO has to work, and my family (~3 hrs away) is celebrating early, so I'm going to attempt to make my first ever thanksgiving meal for the two of us.

I'm going to roast a turkey, make mashed red potatoes, green bean casserole, roasted broccoli and bacon jalapeño mac&cheese, Hawaiian sweet rolls, plus three chocolate pecans pies. One will go to my work, one to his and one for us.

And I am thankful for... everything. :)

Well, let's see....

Around noon on Thursday we will be going to my stepdads family's house and taking stuffing. After we leave there we will be making a 3 hour drive to my moms sisters house for Thanksgiving with my moms side of the family. We will stay the night there and then make the half hour drive to my dad's sisters house for Thanksgiving with my dad and we are taking pop and a dessert. We will drive 2 1/2 hours home Friday evening, then go to DH's sisters house on Saturday.

I'm thankful that even though our Thanksgiving is a bit crazy that we have so many people in our lives that want to see us that day. I'm also thankful that Pickles survived her serious illness and is on the mend.
