I've just got six piercings. One cartilage and two lobe on one ear, and three lobe on the other ear. Nothing spectacular.

lol thast why I've been putting it off. My cousin got just your normal upper ear piercing and it hurt her for ages. I can hack it i reckon :) lol
The cartilage didnt hurt too much, but OMG the industrial. If it closes I will NEVER EVER get it re-pierced. I could feel the needle pushing threw each layer in my ear. It was the worst 10 seconds of my life, LOL J/k. It also took a long time to heal (longer than any other piercing I have). And make sure you clean it EVERYDAY mine would hurt so bad if I missed a day.

I like the look of piercings, but they never last because either they fall out, they get infected, or they just get annoying to have. I've had my ears (lobe and cartilage), nose, and eye brow done. My fave was the brow.

I have two tatts as of now. Soon to be three. I am getting Madisons name done. Not sure where I am getting it or if I am going to include her foot prints or not. I'm either getting it done on my shoulder or upper arm. Thinking about getting a feather done under her name since she is Native.

I think a feather would be cool.

I may eventually want a white buffalo done to honour my heritage

Not sure if you were asking me but...
My upper leg and shoulder didn't really hurt me when they were being tatted. The healing process hurt like hell though.
My lower leg REALLY HURT. It almost made me call it quits it hurt so bad but if you really get what you want, the pain really isn't all that bad.

From my experience. Tattoos are not painful at first. More like REALLY irritating for the first 10 minutes. Then it gradually gets more and more painful. Especially if the tattoo artist goes over the same line twice. One of my tattoos took about 5 hours to complete. I was soaked in my sweat and almost in tears. Although it was a home-made gun with a guitar string as the needle. I've never had a professional gun used on me, yet.

My friends and I tried tattoo's, we used a glue gun and put a needle in it and used pen ink. Not a very bright idea.
I got a cross on my hand, but when it was healing all the ink came out, I love my scar though. Reminds me never to do it again. It didn't hurt though.

My friend got words across his knuckles and it caned, cept he only has a couple of letters left where it was.

Lol guitar string tattoo gun! I made one of those but thankfully decided to wait and get it done professionally.

Mrose...i did the same thing, but i just used a needle and pen ink, no glue gun. I did a star on my hip. It lasted a whole year, but slowly faded away to nothing.

the "PAIN" involved in getting a tattoo is 100% pesonal to each person, what one persn finds not painfull at all another may be brought to tears, location of the tattoo also tends to dictate amount of pain, a tough area commonly exposed to the elements with "padding" (ie upper arm) is USUALLY less painfull than a senstive area with alot of bone and not much padding.

Ticklish areas will also hurt MORE a the nerve concentration is higher in areas where you are ticklish...

so far general consensious of people ive asked say it feels like anything frm a cat scratch to a bee sting...but as was said like anything after 10 mins on the same spot the pin becomes more and more and sometimes so intense you have to take a break.

Wrists (where the bone is) ankle and spin all hit top 3 for "oweis" RIBS seem to be the number # choice for "most painfull spot"
Soft sensitive fleshy areas like lower belly, inner thigh, underarm, and round the nipples are also tending to be "painfull"

least painfull area form the folks ive talked to is upper arm...ive not yet gotten one there so i cant tell you.

my most painful was the largest on on my shoulder blade and thats primarily because parts of it fall on very ticklish spots, those spots definatly "burned" during the tattooing.
however my pain tolerance is fairly hihg and none of the others were realy "painfull" at all, more an annoyance and i partially slept through some!

the artist also plays a part, some artists are heavier handed and they may hurt more than someone with a ligther touch.
