I'm just curious if anyone has done Puppy Peaks and what your thoughts were on it?
I have an 8.5 year old and a 13 month old. My plan for the pup is to compete her in agility. The 8.5 year old trains for fun and if I get him to the point where he can compete in veterans for a year or two that's great, but he's pretty much perfect in every way.
I wanted to do the Recallers course because recall is so important to me with the sighthounds. They've both got pretty awesome recalls but you can always do better with recall. I didn't find out about it until registration closed so I have to wait almost a year for it to open again I guess. I see Puppy Peaks is getting ready to open again though for only the second time and I'm tempted to take it, especially after seeing some of the videos made by past participants that did it with older dogs. My one concern is that it is the end of September and it is getting cold and we are losing light FAST. In about a month or so I won't be able to train outdoors except on the weekends, and soon after that it'll be too cold for the greyhounds to want to train outside much at all. I don't have access to an indoor facility and my house is not exactly spacious.
So, if you did Puppy Peaks last time around would you recommend it? Did you find most of the exercises could be done inside in small spaces? Any other thoughts?
