Orion - what makes me giggle most is your dog would be EXACTLY the kind of dog my brother would recommend his kids to go hug, instead of my more human friendly pit mix - As I found out this weekend. 
If someone does that without asking me first, we start running away He's not really an attention seeker, but he's ok with meeting people if I tell its ok. I usually let people meet him if they ask politely if they can pet him and how would be the best way
Is that breed the same as the Caucasian mountain dog? I saw a special on discovery about "designer dogs" and they featured the new designer breeds and the older breeds that have been around forever and remain pretty much unchanged. The one man that had one was a skinny fellow and didn't seem to have any control over his whatsoever.
Are they really as aggressive as the show made them seem? Or was that just for shock value? =)
