Jordan, the touch is really cool looking and when I was saving for an iPod I considered one, but couldn't give in to spending $50 more for 1/10th the storage capacity, even if it does have a kickass touch screen. Around here the touch is usually $300 or $350 (for 8 and 16 GB) and the classic is $250 or $300 (for 80 and 160 GB) but that could've just been the Christmas sales. Dunno.

Virginia, you'd have fun with is one. I honestly am enjoying this little thing a lot more than I thought I would.

I don't like listening to music while I walk either - makes me feel, I don't know, distant? BUT I really do enjoy it for my daily train rides!

I got the new nano video a couple months ago, gotta say I'm not really an iPod person but I do adore it! If I'm walking the dogs by myself I won't listen to it (or I'll only put one earbud in), just because I don't really like not knowing what's going on around me in situations like that... but it's definitely nice for long, boring car rides.

One of the add ons I really like is the car adapter. I never have to listen to radio again

I love my iPod as well. It's an amazing thing. I actually got it for the car more than for walks. My car was built from the factory with an aux input for an ipod. It does make driving much more tolerable.

I do use mine when I'm walking Kharma sometimes. With her, I don't really worry about who or what is coming up on us. All I have to do is keep an eye on her - which I have to do anyway - and I know if there's someone around and whether or not I need to pay any attention.

I love my 30gig iPod. I literally use it all the time, washing clothes, riding in the car, in the shower(speakers, lol), I've never used it on a walk with the dogs though - I dunno I just don't feel comfortable not being able to hear things around me and Lizzie.

Ohhh, I adore the video quality. The screen is not too small and the picture is very clear. I know what you mean, I spent $27 on a pair of earbuds
