My sister has seperation Anxiety I think. She is 13 and has a lot of trouble getting to sleep at night if she is alone and everyone has gone to bed. I was looking stuff up on it but couldnt find anything for older kids.

I tend to let her sleep in my room a fair bit so she can sleep but that isnt fixing the problem. Any help is appreciated.

did u ask her why? this may sound ridiculous but maybe she has seen a ghost or something, and is afraid to tell anyone, because people may think shes crazy...just a thought.....

nah, thats not it, all our family sees and hears heaps, she tells us everything. She has a great imagination in she can believe herself into most things.

I used to be like that when I was younger!! I used to get very homesick and anxious when my parents weren't around. It's just one of those things I think! I'm sure it's something that she'll grow out of, and we have to remember that some people are just more sensitve than others! I grew out of it, heck I live in a different country to my parents now! lol!

lol, well i think it has soemthing to do with that she has always been very lovey, expecially towards mum, and because my mum broke her ankle when grace was very young, she had to be weined early and has since had a lot of problem sleeping by herself. or spending time alone.
