Pneumonia symptoms?

Has anyone ever had pneumonia? What did it feel like? What were your symptoms. I did some reading on webmd, but was wondering from personal experiences.

I have felt so odd for the last 4-5 days. I have a cough, my chest feels tight and it is a little hard to breathe deeply, but not painful. My neck is tight and I am spending ALL DAY feeling like I want to puke...so queasy. Ugh...guess I better visit the doc on this one.

shoot they JUST sent home a paper from kiddos school about it since it went thru there, and I tossed it..

coughing, bringing up bloodtinged or green mucus....diarreah....malaise....fever....those were some I recall. But ti said you could have just a few symptoms, and still have it.

I've only had it once ....no coughing or much fever , but a pain in my chest ....better check it out !!

It also sounds like some of the signs and symptoms of Pleurisy or Bronchitis.

Probably need to see the doctor so that you aren't sick over the holidays.

Thanks for the responses. I'll probably just go to the doctor. I am not too worried because from everything I have read the serious things are accompanied by a fever which I haven't had. Regardless, I feel icky and strange and better safe than sorry!

It sounds like Bronchitis to me. I actually had to go to the doctor yesterday because I started feeling sick a couple of days ago. It ended up being Bronchitis.

I'd definitely go to the doctor so that you can get better ASAP and also to make sure it's nothing too serious. I hope you feel better!

Ditto on the bronchitis. I have asthma so I guess you could say I usually feel like it's hard to breathe lol.. but I got really really sick last month and it was bronchitis that lasted forever.

I had the same symptoms as you <3

I was just diagnosed with Asthma (turns out I've had it for 15 years unnoticed) and I get Pneumonia and Bronchitis ALL the time. The last time I had pneumonia I went like two weeks before I went to the doctor. I coughed like CRAZY always coughed up mucus and in the end I felt like I broke a rib (which who knows maybe I did). I had a fever also. In any case you should go to a doctor for me my bronchitis turns into Pneumonia

I've had pnemonia numerous times.. its HORRIBLE..

Anything that involved my lungs I run to the doctors office.. dont want to tempt fate at all..

I was at the point where they admitted me when i first walked into the Emerg clinic.. I could barely breath - never again will I let it get to that point..
Normally you end up waiting in the Emerg room for at least 2 hours..

First signs are a slight fever(for me.. I dont really get fevers regardless), sometimes sore throat, coughing.. lots and lots of coughing, tightness in chest.. out of breathe when you walk a flight of stairs, lethargic.

Dont let it wait though - get to the docs asap!

.. Have you ever had mono before?
I remember the first signs of mono for me was puking, fever, yellow in the whites of my eyes, and I just had this .. Strange feeling.. like I wasn't myself.
