I just got back from the vet! They say he is a very healthy puppy. I just need to do some deworming for 2 more days and clean up after every potty in the meantime.

I'll look into Bully sticks, I've heard nice things about them. He doesn't have rawhide, nor will I give it to him. Right now he has 4 teething toys and a bunch of stuffed animals. The teething toys I keep some in his 'pin' and the stuffed animals he plays with under supervision because he likes to shred them....

I understand the oddness of them not caring that I made the decision the same day I spoke with them... And I also wonder why he's already 14 weeks old and his two littermates have been in new homes but not him...

But he's healthy! And I love him already, he's got a great temperment and is beautiful.
And I will pray, guarantee or no guarantee, that he doesn't have any illnesses that will dramatically affect his life. Though with all dogs, theres a chance.

In any case, I did not ignore anyones advice, I had to find a breeder within my price limit, and yes, I'm not an experienced puppy buyer... But I realized breeder #1 wasn't good... and I do believe Sushi's breeder was decent, if nothing else. Ty all :)
Ohh yeah you'll need WAY more toys than that, LOL. You're going to need so many that you think you'll be sick if you see another toy. At least one for each room of the house Sushi is allowed in. I'd invest in heavy duty ones made out of that soft plastic that is just hard enough to CHEW on but doesn't get destroyed well. It's the stuff Hollee Rollers are made of, and Cuzs. I'd also recommend a few kongs. They're expensive, so buy them online instead of at pet stores if you can, BUT they will last forever. I also lovelovelove nylabones - they are very hard plastic, and while some dogs don't like them, there are also soft plastic ones which get destroyed a bit faster but are more enticing. Putting PB on mine enticed Middie to chew on it, and now he loves them.

How are you on food for him? We can recommend some high quality brands (not crap like Science Diet, Pedigree, Iams, Kibbles and Bits, etc) for you and help you in finding them if you need it. Canidae, Innova, Solid Gold, Eagle Pack, Timberwolf Organics, Innova EVO, Taste of The Wild.. those are all really good brands, and your local feed store should carry them. Some small pet stores do as well, but usually chain stores like Petsmart don't.

Right now I'm feeding Maxximum nutrition puppy food. Because it was a little cheaper, and has healthier ingredients compared to the the other commercial stuff. No by-products etc.
It got good ratings, so I figure it's okay.
