Don't beat yourself up...if you know in your heart that this is the best thing for Bo then you should feel good. I know you are going through such a heart breaking ordeal...if you need anything please let me know.

Sometimes you have to make very hard choices that only you can make. If this is what you need to do for Bo's happiness, then realize it is a very unselfish and loving thing to do.

If her new family has problems will they agree to return her to you?

Don't feel guilty Basset. we all know how much you adore your animals and we realize the hard decision you were faced to make. it takes a much stronger person to let go then to hang on out of selfishness. (((HUGS)))

the new family are more than happy to keep in touch and also give her back to me if anything goes wrong.
they have two small children(bo loves little ones) and live out in the country, they go for huge walks all the time and take the caravan away most weekends and they can take bo too.
they are sensible, kind and desperate for a little dog to complete the family. we have been emailing and phoning for a week now and they really are perfect for her.
the main source of my guilt is that i have holly and darcy at home but to be honest those two are so easy to keep, they are both as lazy as each other and lie around all day and are happy with little strolls but i know that Bo needs and wants more excersise, she craves attention and she is so active. she will have a bed in the bedroom and two walks a day along with all the holidays etc, and she will be the only dog so centre of attention. the family are lovely, they have thought about getting a dog for over 2 years and have waited till the right time to do it. they had dogs up untill the kids came along so they know what they are doing.it still hurts though and im still crying every time i think about it.
im taking bo over tomorrow night to let her meet them and them see her properly, they know all her flaws and are more than happy with her.

It will be nice to be able to still visit Bo. If this is what you have to do, at least if Bo is with a good family, you can know in your heart that he will be loved.
