lol, I get asked that all the time! My mom buys dog and cat food..and I buy everyone else food. Pretty much..my entire paycheck goes to food and supplies for my pets, and I occasionally buy myself something lol.

Rabbits are illegal there? Wow! Well..Ferrets,hedgehogs,sugar gliders,and plenty more animals are illegal in California, and not illegal very many other places!

yeah, because of feral rabbits, only its been proven that domestic rabbits won't survive in the wild. Annoying. I thought we spent a lot on food, people give us the strangest looks when we go to the butcher, go to their freezer and buy about 10kilo's of pet meat and thats all

Thats why ferrets and the like are illegal here, cause they don't want them getting out and breeding and creating wild ferrets. Every ferret owner knows domesticated ferrets wouldn't survive at ALL outside in the wild. Peoples dogs and cats would kill them off, they wouldn't be able to get food, etc.
