Pearl had to have stitches

Poor girl, we have been on Holiday with the dogs, we have been staying at my mums in Plymouth while she is away in Spain for 6 months (lucky her), we thought if would be nice to have a break and a change of scenery, well we found a great park with ponds to walk the dogs in, they had been going all week, and swimming everyday, on Friday pearl came out of the water with her foot bleeding, I had a look and she had cut the web between her toes back to the bone, so we rushed off to the vets, she had to have an anesthetic and have stitches, poor girl was in a **** of a state she we picked her up, she was only in two hours, I put her on the grass when we got home so she could have a wee, and she did sitting down, then she got up to walk inside and fell flat on her side against the fence, she slept all evening and decided that at about 3am she had had enough sleep and it was time to wake mum lol. She is sleeping with us at the moment and I am taking her everywhere with me, i cant leave her alone with the boys because Jake tries to take her bandage off. She had her bandage changed on Monday, and has to go back on Thursday, then again on Monday to have her stitches out, so all together she has cost £240, which I think is a lot for 3 stitches.

She even has to walk around with a blue bandage on, you would of thought they would of given her a pink one lol.

She is walking OK and it doesn't seem to be bothering her much, I had to get my sewing kit out and make her a waterproof boot to cover it as the heat wave has given way to rain.

Thanks, she is doing better, but isnt impressed with having to wear a boot when she goes out for pees lol
