Bennie has been known to try to pull things through the holes in his crate to chew on them (like blankets or curtains) so we're really careful not to put anything near it that he can get.

Well, the last time I remember seeing my clicker was on top of his crate.

Now I can't find it. Anywhere. I doubt it would fit through the hold on the top, but if he got a hold of the wrist band he may have been able to get it in there.

I keep telling myself... "he wouldn't really EAT the clicker.. right?", but somehow, knowing my luck... Jersey had intestinal surgery at 5 months old for eating tin foil. TIN FOIL.

So yeah. This ought to be a fun day/night. :(

^^^ No kidding!!! More clicker-bouncing-under-furniture vibes coming your way! (Or hopefully you just misplaced it??)

He hasn't pooped, and I still can't find the clicker.
OK, when he does ... it's easier to do search and recovery if you first put the poo in a disposable plastic bag (plastic bags from grocery stores are fine) ... then squish away without ever getting any under fingernails. If he doesn't poo within a reasonable amount of time, and you still can't find the clicker ... time to call the vet and request x-rays.

Sorry guys, I found it this morning but I didn't have time to post.

It was a rather interesting night though. He pooped three times, twice in the dark, and there's me outside at 4:45 in the morning with a stick and a flash light looking for my clicker. LOL :rofl1:

So this morning, JUST as I'm leaving for work (and wondering how much time I was going to have to come home mid day and check on him) it caught my eye behind the desk in the office. I NEVER would have thought to look there, and who knows when it would have ever caught my eye like that again.

I had a suspicion that with his normal poops and everything that he likely didn't eat it, but man oh man, that "what if" in the back of brain had me going.

I had decided that if it didn't show up I was going to take him over to the vet anyway, lest something bad happen on a Sunday and we have to go the emergency clinic. But thank GOODNESS it's a bright yellow clicker so I saw it!!

Thanks for the vibes, guys! It worked! :hail:

(And for now on I'm hanging it on the key hook when it's not in use. LOL)
