I have this female puppy. She is Krazy Daizy. Beautiful, beautiful markings, personality, conformation, etc. I had her picked out right from the beginning. Happiest puppy alive!
When she started walking, we noticed her back legs looked sort of bowed, not her front, her back. She almost looked as if she had hip problems. We took her to the vet, and he checked her out. She had no apparant injury, and her hips lined up perfectly. She seems as though she is almost double jointed! She used to tremble alot, but that has since subsided.
The vet said that most likely, it is not a hip problem. I know there is a chance, but he said you cannot tell, except in severe cases, at this age at all. And she no where resemble a severe case.
She is constantly tumbling. When she walks even slow, she loses balance in her back end and falls alot. She is sooo happy, go lucky, bouncing, playing, etc.
She was eating tonite and I noticed her back legs would actually come off of the ground as she ate, and she had to keep stationing herself again. Like she is top heavy, but she is not.
THEN, I noticed her playing with her back toes, happily wagging and plucking at them, letting them spring back.
Could there be a chance that she has little or no feeling in her back legs???This is how it appears. Honestly. Maybe a spinal injury from birth? Her spine seems straite. And when she is stacked boy does she look good. But when she starts walking, its really weird and concerning.
This is anothe reason she will not leave us. AND, on Fri she goes for her shots and health certificate, if they tell me they have finally noticed something that is going to affect her quality of life. I see no reason to make her suffer.
As if I dont have enough on my plate!
I have given her time, as I said the trembling has gone completly. Shes so brave, outgoing, forward, not shy, plays laot by herself, bucking like a bronco and smacking at the air. Shes obviously not in pain.
I have tried searches but keep getting "swimmer pup" which does not apply to her. Anyone else know of this??? Heard of this???I have a feeling, it is not real good. She has to have some feeling or she wouldnt walk.
OMG, the poor child!
