Not another trip to the vet!

Well, I was on my way to puppy kindy and Azlan was being the lovely little genlteman that he is, lieing quietly on the front seat, so I put my hand on his shoulder blades in a friendly gesture, whereupon I found a LARGE lump! I was shocked to say the least, I certainly had never noticed it before. It's on his left shoulder, and a little smaller than a golfball, only flatter as well. I was thinking this could be a reaction to his last vaccination, which he got on friday. If anyone has any ideas I would most appreciate it.

Maybe it is a reaction, but if it doesn't go down I'd go to the vets to check it out, keep us posted, hope Azlan is okay.

That sounds like what it is most likely to be, Bridey. Keep an eye on it for the next week or so. You might find some way to measure it objectively so you can tell how the size changes.

Thanks guys. The vet thinks its a developing abcess because the skin wasn't swabbed before the injection, and the idiot vet had to do it twice. Great, so now I have to shave the area! Azlan will be mortified.
