I'm debating on possibly doing nosework with Bamm just for fun. I know in the training class there is never more than one dog in the room at a time so this is something he could do without his dog reactivity being such an issue. He loves playing games at home where I hide treats or toys and he has to find them so I'm really wondering if this would be a good way for him to be challenged more mentally.

On a side note: we've been working a lot on his reactivity issues etc. He doesn't enjoy the muzzle, but since muzzle means that he gets to go outside, hike, play etc he will not readily let me put it on him. He will still sometimes try to rub his face on me or other things to try to get it off, but he's doing better.

I'm also reading click to calm and going to try the exercises in there as well as we have been playing LAT when we see other dogs and people. That's helping though he does still react at times. It's slow process, but I'm trying to find other ways to exercise him mentally which is why I'm considering nosework.

I love nose work for reactive dogs, and at least for Frodo he isn't te least bit reactive to dogs or people while doing it because it is "srs bidness" and won't take the time away from the scent to worry about people around him. I think it is also a great confidence booster for dogs.
