Today I got a almost 10 week old Lab Mix Pup. My last pup left with my Husband. We seperate and took her with him. So today I decided to get another Pup. He is almost 10 weeks. Had 2nd vaccines and dewormer yesterday at the Breeders house he was running around playing. Looks healthy. Sweet and active. Came over to me and not shy. But as soon as i out him in the car and got him home. He is panting alot (not hot in here) He won't move if I put him on the floor or outside. He just lays sprawled out and clings to the floor. I know i took him from his brother and he isn't used to it here. But does that sound normal? I seriously haven't had a young pup in almost 10 yrs.
He follow my other dog around. Older male but not far. He isn't active He just lays there and pants.

I would make a vet appointment ASAP! It's always good to get a new pup checked out anyway, and it sounds like you have some valid worries.

It can be normal for puppies to act a little nervous or timid if you put them down, but panting a lot in a puppy that young would frighten me (if it wasn't hot or active), especially if he won't walk around. I'd definitely get a vet check, and try a different surface (lay a blanket down if you don't have carpet) in a very quiet room and see if he starts to timidly explore. In that case it might be behavioral, but it sounds medical

Sounds like a unsocialized, stressed out pup. Give him some time and let him acclimate to the new home, everything is new for him at this point on.

Mackz is doing great it was just that night next day normal playful puppy. No diarrhea or anything. Learning fast knows his name and about 90 percent housebroken. He asks to go out but if we miss the signal he will pee and poop on the pad right next to the door. And only 1 oops in his crate. Doesn't whine or bark in his crate. Sleeps all night. Has Vet appt tomorrow can't wait to see how much he weighs.
