If you love my roses the will love you back.

and so it begins. I love times a billion watching my flowers go "off" like slow speed fireworks.
Holly hock.

salmon four oclocks from Bakers Heirloom seed. Needless to say, I am thrilled. They are beautiful and the smell is heaven.

Ressie's favorite spot this evening while we sat and enjoyed all the good smells.

I think REssie belongs to the garden and the garden belongs to him. They ae so beautiful together.
We go out for a few minutes a couple times a day. It takes one loud car, on door slam, to startle him back to the front door, or this morning where he climbed a tree a bit too high and jumped from the tree to my shoulders for a ride back in. That's ok. I am glad he knows to make a b line for the front door. He is my luck dragon.

Roses for Barb. I made a print of the heart ones for Hyia since this is her bush. WE fed it her banana peel and I think it really liked it.
I think we will do that again.

I am so ready to see these bloom. I think I found a spot this phlox really likes.

I was trying to make grandchildren a dinosaurousflowerous but it took on a life form of it's own.

THis one just wouldn't work for me so I took it a part and made the top one which I like much better. Than I swept up and got back to the chore world.

I couldn't pick just one so I am posting all three. This hollyhock likes where it was planted. The seeds came from my friend Cindy who said these were her Dad's favorite flower. I can see why.
Like watching a rocket go off in slow motion.

I sent the pic of the crociflowerous to my grandson. I asked him what it was and told him I made it for him. He said I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU I LOVE IT>>IT"S A CROCODILE! 5 year olds are so much fun. I Told him yes indeed it's a corcoflowerous and when he comes to visit next time we will make something together.

The community garden is going well I upset Mother wren when I bumped into her pole, but surely she will get back on her eggs. I made a hasty retreat. The male and landed a foot away from my head while I was staking things and sized me up. WE were almost eye ball to eyeball. He deemed me no threat and went on with his business. I talked with the lady I share the space with and she said she really appreciated such a hard working family. No bugs for us!

I have lots of maters. Some as big as my fist so fingers crossed for the fourth of July goal.

I should have stayed with this bird, but it wanst' a very good bird either which is why it became a croc.

when the river goes down we might find some more drift wood to use.

I Found my second purple rolly poly. I found out when I found the first one they turn grape colored because of a virus.
Wouldn't it be weird if people did that.

butterfly kisses for me

When my little friend showed up the children held so still so we could all watch. Little did we know our friend was here to stay for the day.

I tried a few times to lift the butterfly up to their hands but to no avail so we just watched from one flower to another and wished her or him luck.

A butterfly kisses so soft you cannot feel it at all.

Aiden built a robot for the garden. I love it I do. He worked so hard and with such careful consideration. This robot has special powers, a good heart, fire power, wheels, swords, and his favorite flower of all made the ears. I hope we get to make another creation soon.

THe garden dragons roared louder

spider warning

If you do like spiders, specially little black and white jumping spiders that use my strawberry leaves like little trampolines, you will like these. I am glad of their hard work that keeps my areas free of all the chompers.

Great Grandmother GG asked if I had made Baylee May a holly hock doll. So I did and here she is for Baylee.

guess there are many ways to make them. I tried to search for Baylee because I thought there was a scene in Fantasia that had something like that. I didn't find what I was looking for but I did find this one. Looks like more of the tip was cut off and I don't know how they had the fold unless they peeled an un open bud. So I will have to try one more time because I like this face better.

thank you :)
Baylee just turned three not too long ago. I am trying to find ways to show her since she thinks the holly hock doll is flowers, and not a dolly, that flowers can be dollies too. I send these and her parents share with her and let me know what she has to say about it.
I sent her this one before the last one posted above.

She is also is a big strawberry fan so I try to put one in each pic. They look way better blown up in size than they do in a 4 by 5 but I get a print anyway for the garden book.

If this works and the feedback is good I might put it on a canvas and donate it for Art Unleashed 2015 along with my sculpture. Thoughts? I am going to get some more sticks and see if I can do cat or dog and then take the best one.
Title
IT's All About The Ball

Don't like the chalk. just a thought, washed it out.
Need better leg sticks and a better lower jaw.
Still for a first attempt, it almost looks like a dog I think.

THis is the other side with the family that shares this lot with Hyia and me.

so that was fun news to end a good garden day that started with a snail that wouldn't stay on a rock and made me chuckle. Came home and looked at the sunset in my woods to say goodnight.

One of these will be the right one for the art unleashed auction.
THe wind was against me this morning, blew the first one over, and lightening said give it up during the second.
My friend Cindy has new sticks for me from her float trip so maybe those will help.
In the meantime, try three and try four.

For the love of the stick

dunno. will try again in the morning to do a cat or a dog if there is no wind.
for now it looked like a mermaid to me. My friend Cindy brought me new sticks from her float trip.
I borrowed two pieces from her collection in hopes of making a better dog.
