Can anyone explain why dogs pees when they are nervous or excited? I have a girl who does this, she's almost 1 year old and is pretty nervous and does pee when she gets excited. Will this go away? I don't think she's had much human contact while little.

Thanks , I'll read. I got her from a breeder who I'm almost positve had minimal intereaction with her. Other than that she's very sweet. But very timid and scared of everyone except me. Will this pass with work?

Roxy used to do that *all* the time, when she got excited.

If someone came into the house she'd rush them, tail wagging and a little puddle of pee would form...

She hasn't done in it about 6 months and she'll be 2 in September. In Roxy's case she just stopped doing it...

with work, probably. i'd definitely get her into an obedience class. using a very positive style to teach her things will help build her confidence and likely help with the peeing.

Yano Elegy, your totally right. Roxy stopped right about the time we started going to school.

I attributed it to her age though... Could it be an age thing as well?
