I bought some of this Nature's Logic venison formula and mix a little in with Hannah's Innova and maybe 2 times a week she gets just the nature's logic. She really likes it (but she really likes her Innova too). Does anyone have any inputs on this brand? The store warned me that I probably shouldn't feed it too her completely and for long term because not only will it put the needed pounds she needs on but it'll put on a whole lot more.

Any inputs on this food: http://natureslogic.com/products/dp_dry_ven.html ?

Well, I'm not sure about the food itself, as I only fed Ella a few samples.

I DO know, however, that when I was emailing the company back and forth about their food, I had asked about their ash content (ash content is always a concern of mine when it comes to dog foods, especially high protein content, grain-free dog foods) and he seriously spoke to me like I was stupid.

The start of his email was this, "When customers ask about the ash content of our foods, I find myself asking them if they even know what ash content is..."

WHOA. STOP RIGHT THERE.
I'm NOT an idiot. I didn't ask him "what" ash content was. I asked him what the level of ash content in his foods were.

I decided to shop elsewhere for Ella's dog food. In fact, I think I simply kept her on Timberwolf since they clearly state that they have a second process they run their kibble through that allows them to have a low ash content food.

Sorry! I didn't mean to ramble on about my negative experience with the company. I'm sure it's a good food. I might add a little water to it since the ash content level is about the safe 8%, just to break down that extra ash in it.

Thank you! I don't want to do business with a company that's going to be rude. I bought it because it was new in the store and looked good. Our Hannah seems to like it but if they have bad customer service than I don't want to do business with the company even if their food is the greatest!

Well, it's not that he was rude when it came to me requesting samples, they were prompt about sending those. It was just the way he addressed me when I asked about the ash content.

But, I mean, who knows. If your dog does great on the food, then stick with it.
Look, hahaha, I feed Timberwolf and they are SO not known for wonderful customer service. But I continue to feed it because Ella can eat it and not vomit an hour later.
She looks fabulous on it. And it's just been such a good food for her. Her poops are a tad large on it, but if I add Prozyme then that takes care of THAT problem for her/me.

I have fed a bag of the chicken to my older female pug for about 2 months now. She has done quite well and has actually leaned up a bit. I have another friend who feeds the Venison and her dogs have done fabulous on it. They are show dogs and look fantastic and are in top condition.

If you do a search, I started a NL topic a LONG time ago and Mordy addressed it She had some interesting input.

Yeah we mix in TWO too and I think I have emailed that company 3 times and have not heard anything from them. It's good food though mine do good with it.
