As some may know, I'm a certified groomer and have been grooming for 20 years now, well it will be 20 this August. I've also mentioned that I presently groom in a salon located at home but have been planning on opening up a business near the busiest place in town.

Here is my dilemma. I have a name for my shop right now but I'm not liking it. I haven't advertise as of yet, all my clients are from word of mouth and they mostly know me by my name, not my shop's name. Before moving to my new location, which I plan to hopefully move within a year if all goes well, I'd love to have a new name to go with it.

You all have such great imaginations and I thought of turning to you for some help with a new catchy name.

The few things that can help you along the way in what I was looking for was I want something short, clean, cheek. I'm not too fond of combination names or cutesy wootsie names like Wiggle Waggle or...I don't know...Rub a dub dub...lol See, I'm bad at even thinking of names I don't want.

I was thinking of having a French name since this area has a quite a few Frenchmen, plus I'm French. But I'm not totally stuck on that concept.

Here are some ideas. I think some are already in use but I'm not sure what the rules are in naming a business. I'll deal with that once I register it and if it's taken then I'll choose the next best one.

My ideas were; (remember I will have in the bottom of the name "Pet Grooming" so that the clients will know what it is)

Niche - mean dog house in French

Le Bain - means bath in French

Le Spaw

Sudsational - this might be getting to close to the cutesy wootsie factor..lol

GinyBeez - a play on my first and last name

Any more names, o wise Chazzers? Later I'll do up a poll with all the names so we can all vote.

Not much help with French, but I like Le Bain and GinyBeez.

Mon Ami, (my friend?).....sounds pretty, but not extremely dog related.
Maybe something with the french word for dog.
Maybe something with Beaute, or whatever French word for beauty, like beauty shop.

"Plouf de chien" hehe.. probably nonsense in French 'cause I plugged it into an online translator, but it's supposed to mean "dog splash". lol

I like GinyBeez too.

Well "niche" means something in English as well...
If you've found your niche in life, you've found your calling...So I like that!

Niche du Bain would be cute. The dog house of baths lol. I love the french twist too! I am starting my own line of collars etc and it will be called Je suis... "I am" with different lines like joulie and fort. Good luck and happy grooming!
