Here is a few things my mom has so lovingly made for my family.
The darker blue afghan is a king size that weighs about 20 lbs. It is on my bed in the winter time. The smaller light blue one is Danny's baby blanket that I put up to save for him . He and Laura have several quilts that they drag around. The quilts were once very pretty, but with the love came the abuse. This particular one with the bears on it was in the tree house and I had to go get it in the middle of the night to get Danny to sleep. LOL

Those are great FB--I still have an afghan my grandmother made for me when I was a child--I wrap myself up in it when I'm feeling like I need a grandma hug (she has been gone for 6 years now). I too have made my kids their own afghan's--because I want them to wrap themselves up with mom hugs someday when I am not right there.

AWWWWWWWE, Aussie is a big softy! I can imagine you in your old rocker making baby booties Aus! LOLOLOLOLOLOL

Just kidding, all those peices are lovely. My mom has been crocheting for as far back as I can remember........at least as far back as her late twenties :)

I remember when I was in fifth grade, she made my favorite teacher of all time a Shawl........and my teacher went NUTS over it. I happen to see her out and about when I was in town visiting (in my twenties) and she was WEARING it!! I was pleased as punch.
