that 6.1 this morning as an "aftershock" what is going on with our planet.

my thoughts are with all those in and with faily/freinds in Haiti.
the thought of recovery from the initial 7.0 was looking neer impossible...but add this one...devastating.

They found my aunts body and the burial was today :( everybody is very heartbroken but it looks like she died from something falling on her when the earthquake hit, so they are taking some comfort in the fact that she wasnt down there suffering for who knows how long until now

there was another 6.1 earthquake yesterday and basically everything that we started to repair (makeshift shelters, fixed homes etc..) has been destroyed again

it so hard to remain hopeful, my whole family is there doing what they can (volunteering at the hospital, taking in orphans into our homes etc..) buts its difficult. all the banks are closed, accounts frozen and cash is short but we are doing our best to send from here to there western union as much as we can

things are getting violent so my family doesnt want me over there. but ive been praying for my mom, dad, brothers and cousins who are there doing what they can

many of the orphans have families in america waiting to adopt them, they knew their names and numbers so I even had the chance to call a few and let them know that their soon to be son/daughter is alright and in good hands. they arent accepting any new adopters for these children but those who already have families they are doing their best to find the papers and get these kids over to them. (in haiti, you are matched with a child very early in the adoption process so these parents have already met and spent a lot of time with these kids)

Im doing everything I can, BBM on our blackberries is very helpful and we pass a lot of stuff back and forth thru there.

All our homes are fine, and we are taking in children as well as doctors who flew in to help from the US as well as the DR. everybody is doing all that they can

All of the children in our family have flown to miami, one of my other aunts is picking out schools for them and getting them settled in. they will be staying here to finish school since theres is totally destroyed and since kidnappings unfortunatly is happening a lot now.

thats all the news for now! thanks so much for the prayers and support!

I'm so sorry Fran :( I hope your family is ok there. It's wonderful of you to call those families waiting for their children to come home... I know it's been very hard for them not to know what's going on.
