I've been wanting a multifunctional leash or Euro Lead like forever. It will come in handy while on trips/vacations and such, or when we eat outside with Jackson so I can just loop his leash around my chair or the table and whatnot.

But I really still want a real "handle" (just one that can come unclipped, so I can wrap around a table or a chair etc). I see some that don't really have one, it seems? I dunno.

Anywho, I really like the style of the Ezydog one but unsure if it's worth the $38 price tag or I might as well just pay like $10-$15 extra for a leather one. I do like ezydog products thus far, we have a lifejacket and a harness we love. http://store.ezydog.com/vario-6-multi-function-leash-snap-hook/

The other one I'm really eyeballing is the Bold Lead Designs one.

So, favorites? Anything maybe a bit cheaper but similar style/quality or should I just bite the bullet?

I bought 2 biothane Euro-leads from Fraggle Rocks. 1 for my sister & 1 for my mom. I wasn't smart enough to get one for myself. I love using my mom's when I'm visiting

Texas Leash Company makes a really nice leather utility leash for under $30 I believe. I love mine. Takes time to break it in, but totally worth it.

I love mine, but I don't use it as often as I'd like because mine has a big heavy o-ring in the middle that I tend to bonk Brisbane in the head with. I might order a biothane one from Fraggle Rock and ask for really light non-dog-bonking hardware because Brisbane is a sensitive little snowflake and tends to get scarred for life by things like leash hardware.

The ones from stibbar leather are only 30 dollars but still a nice leather leash. I use the 1/2 inch one with the tiny clips on it for Sam and it's really lightweight but still sturdy.

Thanks all for suggestions! I'm looking right now at options...

Also, do you think I would be able to use the over-the-shoulder option on a 6ft lead with a small dog or no? He's like 11" tall off the ground.... or would that give him like ZERo room?! LOL...

Bold lead has the 8ft one but I just don't know if I need that much leash for what purpose it's going to be used for... walking downtown and whatnot.

I've used it with Sam before and I think they're about the same height? It doesn't give him a ton of room, definitely kind of forces him to walk at my side. But the leash isn't like pulling up at his neck.

I have a lightweight 5' Stibbar braided leash with the small clip that has a slip leash ring/stop options added. If I add the carabiner (great idea BTW) it will do everything I would ever want. Conventional, slip and tie out. Attractive and functional.

Utility lead for small dogs

I was thinking it might feel a little heavy and bulky for Jackson, with the additional hardware.

This! Get a custom skinny with light hardware. My friend has this lead from Stibbar and it is great. Stibbar can make one a custom length so it's a bit longer for Jackson. Maybe you only need the handle to have a ring and snap?

I've had my leather euro style service dog lead for almost as long as I've had my dog. It's absolutely freaking fantastic.

A Chaz member (oc_spirit) made mine and oh my god like 7 years later it's still the best leash, through salt water and mud and gunk and rescue puppies trying to chew on it. I think this leash is indestructible but I know if anything ever happens to it I'll be hunting her down for another one.

Okay so I think I decided on the BLD Super Lead.

I'm going to ask though if she can make it either 6.5 long at full length, or maybe 7, for better length if I use it as over the shoulder, and then the mid-way length being either 3.5 or 4ft instead of 3.

Hopefully it won't be a big problem! Thanks for all input.

Amber had a leash from her and I sooo wish she still was making them. Softest leash I'd ever felt.
