Hi everyone- I haven't been on this site in a long time, but I thought I could use some advice/ thoughts/ help
I have 2 Chi mixes- Mira and Baby. Well Mira is the one with the issues. Here a bit of backround. She was rescued from the streets, was several lbs underweight, and was about 3 when I adopted her about 5 yrs ago. She has had a few episodes of peeing when she go too excited or when certain people come and see her (especially my sister). In the last month she's had a few other issues. the first she was sitting on the couch and just peed where she sat and didn't move. Twice as I was getting my shoes on to take her out she pee'd b4 I could get her out (just thought that she really had 2 go and I took 2 long). But in the last week or 2 she's had 3 accidents on my bed. 1st time time she was napping with me and pee'd laying next 2 me (I thought that I may have been so out that I didn't notice she was telling me she had to go out). The 2nd I put her on the bed and was doing something around the room for a few minutes and when I came back she had already pee'd (no idea why she did that). tonight she was sitting next to me while I was watch TV and I thought i felt something but I felt the bed and it didn't feel wet, a few minutes later and I knew she had pee'd- she just sat there, even when I said something she just sat there.
I don't know if it's medical or behavioral. It seems very watery, not very yellow. I'm going to call the vet tomorrow but thought I'd ask here too.
:hail: THANX!!!!

All i can say is my own experience with Victor. He will hold it until he can't hold it one second later. IN the beginning he didn't ask to go out, he just held it. THe hardest thing was if i forgot to let him out before we went to bed. THen when he fell asleep he coudln't hold it any longer and drop by drop it would leak out. HE still waits until he is desperate before he does ask to go out and if i don't get him out before i go to bed i am very sorry for i will have a soaked blanket He doens't have any health issues at all.

I make sure i take him out on a routine and seldom wait until he asks to go out. AS long as i make sure we get out before we bed down for the night we have no problems.

Thanx smkie,
I try to take her out several times a day. Tonight b4 she pee'd I took her out 3 time btwn 5-9:30. She does get water with her meal. She hasn't been interested in her water bowl much lately so I started putting water in with her food. She also doesn't do well with regular dog food so I cook there food. So I'm kind of stumped.

My brother's dog had a problem with wetting the bed and wetting in general. They found out she had a birth defect where her ureter was elongated and wrapped around her spine. SHe had a lot of surgery and eventually ended up wearing a diaper but her case was extreme. Hopefully you will find an easier solution then what they went through. VIctor was just a case of just waiting too long to ask to go out. Was hoping that was the case with your dog. GOod luck, i hope the vet can give you answers.
