I was playing with Bailey last night, and he got a little over-excited, and managed to nip me. Caught me on the inside of the crease of my knee. Ouchie...it really stung for a while. Although it doesn't hurt today, I have a nice purple bruise and a little swelling there.

It just goes to show that he knows to play gentler with the kids, b/c he has never managed to nip them so hard, and yet has done it to me and DH a few times.

Pepper jumped into the middle of VIctor when he was laying beside me on the sofa and he bit the back of my head, he was shocked..i was shocked. Fortuanlty not hard enough to break the skin. Really i think they have to be awful careful and should be commended for the ability to hold back. Sorry you got bit.

I'm just constantly in awe of how much control they have over their jaws...Virgo loves to hold my hand in her mouth just as gentle as you can please and then will turn around and demolish a bone in five minutes.

I had a grey squirrel baby that i bottle fed. She had outgrown her first pen so Jim helped me turn a quail pen into a large floor to ceiling cage for her. All we had to do was put chicken wire on one side and i thought it would be good to go. Until Roxy went down to the bottom and snipped that chicken wire as neatly as a pair of wire cutters. This being the same squirrel that took my finger tips in her mouth and shook them for all she was worth when she played. Guess it just goes to show how much they love us.

Squirrels have crazy strong jaws...when we had that crazy squirrel stalking my dad, animal control kept telling us to not get close enough for it to bite, because they'll go through Kevlar.
