There's a tiny (even for the breed!) chihuahua at the end of the block that keeps charging Zeus and snarling whenever we pass. The idiot owner doesn't keep that little dog on a leash or anything. That dog will run right up to Zeus, barking and snarling. Zeus will just stare down at that dog with this bewildered look that says "You're kidding me, right?"

That owner gets me so mad. She'll just watch from her patio chair and not say anything. One of these days, that little dog will bite Zeus. And Zeus will swallow it like a pill. And of course, I'll be sued.

Otto gets that with a Jack Russell down the street. It's owner always leaves it off leash and it always run up while we are on our walk. The owner always comments on how scared my dog is. What? You mean my minding his own business dog on a leash that if I let it would think of all the possible ways to mess your dog up.

My girls seem to humor small dogs.
LoL, that's the impression I get from Zeus. But I'm just afraid that one day that little dog will get him mad.

There's something I read in a dog book (can't remember which one, sorry), that says it best:

"A chihuahua will jump on you and get mad when you don't fall down. A rottweiler will jump on you and expect you to fall down. And a great dane will jump on you and have no clue why you fell down."

LOL! I've noticed a little terrier pup around here likes to bark (A LOT) and it just loooves when the girls pay attention to him. A few days ago I finally got so annoyed by it's barking that I commanded Colby to start barking to try and scare it. So Tippy, my BC mix, gets excited and is barking (LOUD) and the terrier doesn't even flinch.

While I was taking Boomer to obedience classes most of what I've notices when it came to bigger dogs when meeting Boomer is that they really didn't seem to know what to make of this little dog. Some even seemed kind of scared of him. Boomer doesn't seem to know he's a little guy and wants to play with the big boys. :D

Boomer doesn't nip, he's too much a sweety. He does try to slip them the tongue though. :p

He loves our neighbor's dogs. This is one of them, the BC mix. The other is a cocker spaniel. If only he could fit his head through the wires to kiss her he would. "lol"
