That's cute! I can't get over all the hateful comments! People really will get worked up about anything online! So dumb!
I know! For the record, I do think it was probably predatory behavior but that's what the glass is there for.

One year our county fair had a "big cats" exhibit. My little cousin was maybe 4 at the time and one of the young mountain lions was stalking him from inside its pen as he was skittering by in that way that kids do. That was way more creepy than this video was (I'll take permanent enclosure glass at a zoo over a pen assembled by a carny any day)....

I love the video, it's uber cute.

I'm not much of a fan of the Cheyenne Mt Zoo. Tiny enclosures, primitive conditions for their poor elephants and wolves, overcrowded, and kind of dirty.

The lioness wasn't trying to nom the kid. It was nourishing itself on Invisible Force Field.

We don't have lions at the Baton Rouge Zoo, but we have several tigers and their exhibit is similar except there's no ledge. The glass goes all the way to the ground. And you can hear them roar. :D The boys love sitting down in front of the glass and watching the tigers.

I know. It doesn't matter if it was predatory or not. The parents weren't putting their child in any kind of danger. All the people who were saying "Oh yea. A lion wants to kill your baby, how funny." need to lighten up. And the "What's the plan if the glass breaks." Cause that happens all the time. Like the zoo really didn't consider that when they built the enclosure.

um, I'm thinking if the glass breaks, everyone at the zoo is in danger of becoming a kitty treat. so do responsible parents not take their kid to the zoo ever?

people are stupid.

I saw this last night and at the time (1:30 AM) it freaked me out. Watching it now I think it's adorable, but still a little freaky. I am jealous of those people though. I was at the National Zoo last week an all 7 or 8 lions were sleeping. Far away.

Awww she just wants to play. I go to the zoo all the time and I have never been fortunate enough to see the lions (or any cats) that active and interesting in the day time, thats really cool.
