Hi
i have a 4 week old puppy who was separated from his mum a few days ago, and i was wondering if anyone knows if it is a good thing to give kefir yogurt to such a small dog... if anyone has any good thoughts on what a puppy this age can be feed (as naturally as possible) i'd be very grateful...
See you around

he's a mut, or at least he's mother is, we don't know who the father is. as for size he will be medium or medium/large but slim if he pulls from he's mother...
I got him from some friends who are living in barcelona (10000kms from here), they were having a few problems because the mother is very young and temperamental, and has even ran from home a few days ago ending up in the dog pound. I was only expecting him after february but they decided to bring him now that's why i have been running around trying to get everything in order for him... If anyone can help me i would be very thankfull

I don't know what exactly is available in Europe as far as foods go, but I wouldn't think the yoghurt could be anything but good for a pup. You'll need to either get a good puppy kibble and moisten it, or start feeding either a raw or homecooked diet. I would lean toward the homecooked since there are some bacterial risks with a raw diet that you need to be careful of, especially with such a young pup.

Serena can give you some good advice on this. You might also want to check out www.sojos.com . They have a supplement mix that you add to the raw or cooked food that really looks superb. They have some good information on their site as well.
