I have some horrific stories of horses my family has take in back when I was younger. The one that sticks the most out in my mind was an aggressive never been handled PMU mare that was at a "rescue". The mare had come off the trailer with a cut on her eyelid. It got severly infected over time. They herded her into a small area and squirted her in the eye with the medication. She became extremely voilent towards people. Well no duh. The poor thing was terrified of humans. She clinged to me like no tomorrow. Had a rider up on her in an hour of having her so she clearly was just not being handled in the proper way. Stupid, stupid people. If you are doing more harm then good you are not helping.
