A beautiful red 9 month Boxer boy came into the rescue yesterday, he has this problem with his shoulders, would be gratefull for any advice.

OK I will try and describe it the best I can. He has a problem with his shoulders (not sure if its elbow displacia?) when he stands he turns his elbow out, and also his leg seems to move out from the shoulder (if you know what i mean). I know this could be down to bad breeding, poor feeding or too much exercise, probably all three! From 7 weeks he was fed bakers adult, so he hasn't had the building blocks he needs, he is a big boy only about an 1in smaller than pearl and he has good growth bumps on his legs so I think he is going to be a whopper. Does anyone know what could be wrong with his shoulders?

He is now being fed, nutro large breed puppy, and I was thinking about getting him some supplements like MSM and shark cartilage.

But first i need to find out what it could be, it doesn't seem to bother him, but I have herd him click sometimes when he jumps up.

Here is a pic of how he holds it, he doesnt always do it about 50 50 I guess

do you have any front shots of him standing? I admit the first one looks a little funky but then again, boxers are built very "stocky" , I wanna say bulldog like, maybe that's what your seeing? If you think it's a shoulder problem, dogs can get ocd in the shoulders, I'd probably have a vet or better yet an ortho surgeon take a look at him if you think he's built strange..

The clicking could be early arthritis/bones rubbing..he does look gorgeous tho
