i thought my dog a new trick which is how to stand on his two hind legs. he has been getting pretty good at it and can last 2-3 seconds so far, i am aiming for longer. my wife thinks it might not be good for his back. is she right?

Yes it can hurt his back if he flips or tweeks it just right. That trick is harder on larger dogs than smaller ones. I would stick with shake, roll over, and play dead.

Its harder on growing puppies bones as well to try and support their upper half weight on their back legs.

Although it is adorable and talented lol

hmm not sure but there is this one dog who only has his two hind legs and his owner taught him how to walk on his two hind legs, since thats the only way be could be able to walk since he has no front legs.

Oh yeah!

There was a dog with two back legs, I remember seeing the video of it as well.

but you'll also have to think about the fact that she doesn't have two front legs as extra weight in the front. :)

my aunt had a pure bred Lab... She loved him .. She taught him all neat tricks... walking on his back legs being one... She had him do it once and he fell and broke his back or his neck I dont remember. It was sad. My dog loves to beg on her hind ligs ..only on carpet though (she could slip on linolium)

I think it's ok done in moderation and if done on soft cushy carpet... I tried teaching my guys that, but they almost fell a couple of times so I stopped, my whole place is hardwood.
