I'm pretty sure Interceptor won't be back on the market any time soon. If you want something similar, Sentinel is essentially the same thing, just with an added flea product.

Novartis no longer makes Interceptor. The plant was shut down for a long time because of manufacturing issues with human products, and when the plant came back up, a decision was made to no longer make Interceptor. I'm surprised they're telling you it's back-ordered because... yeah.

We're no longer producing Interceptor Flavor Tabs, but we're happy to introduce an even smarter option for heartworm protection. Sentinel® (milbemycin oxime/lufenuron) Flavor Tabs® provide the same exceptional protection against heartworms plus they protect against fleas, too. All at a price similar to Interceptor Flavor Tabs.
It's a bummer because I really liked using it. But I have switched to Sentinel.

They did, however, drastically decrease the price of Sentinel to make it competitive with Heartgard.

I switched to Heartgard, but if you are adamant about the same ingredient, Sentinel and Trifexis have the same thing plus flea control. Trifexis is slightly different than Sentinel, it's basically Interceptor plus Comfortis.

I switched to Iverhart Max
Was that recalled along with the Iverhart Plus? What's the difference between the Plus and Max? I was using the Plus, but it was recalled over the summer. I don't want to do anything with the added flea stuff, and Caleb can't have the beef in the HG, so I've been using Ivermec since the fall.

ETA- I started using Iverhart Plus when they stopped making Interceptor.

The Iverhart Max also does tapeworm. I can't get the plus any longer so switched to the Max. The plus was the one recalled not the Max.
