Named after Yancy Becket from Pacific Rim. opcorn:
After the loss of my three boys in the past three years (Doogie, Buford and Fergus) we decided it was finally time to get a new family member. I put the word out on FB that we were looking for some sort of a Mastiff/Rottie/Pit Bull mix, preferably male and brindle always a plus. A vet at one of the clinics I go to saw it and messaged me about a puppy they had there.
The puppy belonged to one of the vets nieces, a single mom with a five year old and no time for a rambunctious, large, out of control with no training puppy. Of course he's a Craigslist puppy, Rottie and Pit Bull and cute as a button, black and tan and his tan parts are brindle. He's six months old, 63lbs and we brought him home last Wednesday.
They painted him as this completely out of control pup, wild and crazy. Well, he's been a joy and has already learned sit, down, stay out of the kitchen and is completely house trained. He and Dash have a serious bromance going on! He didn't respond to his name at all so we went ahead and changed it to Yancy which he seemed to like right away.
