Hang in there, some day your dream will come true.
But, I don't want to wait
Lol, you too? I've been looking at them as well as all the other sighthounds again. (Thanks, Xerxes!)
Anyways, at least a year before I can even THINK of another dog and a lot depends on the apartment situation, etc.
Yes, me too! lol
I already know where my next dog is coming from and it's not a grey, but I may foster for a local rescue.
A neighbor's dog recently ran King down to the point he laid down and wanted to go to sleep. That just doesn't happen.
LOL. The one's I dogsit for usually take a lap around the yard once or twice a day and they're good.
My friend's wife is real involved in the rescue group here.
There are quite a few grey rescues around here, I just need to convince my mom to let me foster from one of them! lol
Having the "room" for one is misleading. From everyone I've talked to, greys would rather sleep than anything else and they curl into a nice little ball doin so.
I've dogsat for a few, and most of them have done more sleeping than any other dogs I've seen. There's one grey I dogsit for that I swear, if he were any more laid back he'd be dead. The space thing is more about not having room in the car and not having a place to let a grey stretch it's legs (my dog's are all exercised off-leash in an unfenced area).
