I have an appointment with my OB this afternoon for an annual check-up. I dread it for no other reasons than I'll be among tons of pregnant women, and I'm not one of them :(

Aww, bless you.

It's never a pleasant thing anyway, the whole.. "Open wide and relax" when relaxing is the LAST thing you are thinking of doing.. Is nasty.

I feel for you, I really do..

Treat yourself to something REALLY nice afterwards.. That's what I usually do.. ;)

Smile and think of England?
Ok, I have no idea what the heck that means, but I always hear it told to ladies in the movies who have to get through something horrible, LOL

You can do this M, I know you have strong faith and know that he has a plan for everyone............your included in that plan :)

I'm sorry it's so hard for you, M :(

Coop is right...God has a plan for you and your husband.
Thanks guys!

I know God has a plan for everyone, us included & because of that, am still able to be content & happy in life.. However, there are days that I'm totally fine, and there are days like today, when I can't help but wish that with regards to this matter, God's plan is the same as mine

I do believe that if I (and everyone I know) bugs God long enough, he'll eventually gives in and blesses us with a little one :p, for He has said so himself, "And I tell you, ask and you will receive; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives; and the one who seeks, finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened." (Luke 11: 9-10)

So, I ask for your continuous prayers & encouragement along the way, for they're what keep us going on our quest to become parents!

How long have you been trying ???
This December will mark our 8th anniversary.. We've always been opening to the possiblility of children since day one.. so I guess it's almost 8 years.

After the first 3 years with no success, we began to see doctors & went through every possible tests.. The results are all normal. That's what baffled the docs & us alike. Seems like we did everything right, but still, no pregnancy.

I got pregnant in 2007, but soon miscarried. The docs thought now that we knew I could get pregnant, it'll be easier to get pregnant again.. Since then, we were trying more aggressively.. Yet, still no good news.

We also did another round of testings.. Results were normal again. (His count was within range, my tubes were not blocked, hormal levels were all normal, etc.. )

Do I ever feel your pain. I'll be thinking of you, and praying that He'll answer your prayers in His time. :)
And even if you end up having to adopt , as my Timmy says "Well, we can't have babies but we can have fun "practicing" :thumbsupsmileyanim:..." :D

I wish you the best and hope your appointment goes quickly. I know how painful it was to go into the OB for my bloodwork follow-ups after I miscarried, but I can't imagine how you must feel.

Is there a reason you don't want to adopt? If it's too personal, you definitely don't need to answer...I'm just curious.

I'm feeling more and more called towards adoption lately. I think if hubby and I decide to have children, that's the route we'll head.

We were married 5 years . All tests too and Tom had low count and lazy swimmers . The once month we didn't really try ( were on family fishing trip with cousins and parents ....so it was one and done !! I also found out that I cramped during the " right " time so no try . For the next 2 pregnancies when I cramped , we tried . One took 2 months , one only one month . The OB had us try early morning before Tom showered and me standing on head afterwards , Good luck !!!

I will be thinking about you. You always come across as such a wonderful person that I really hope one day your dreams will be realized. :)

I have been trying for years also and no luck here so I know how you feel. Hopefully when we both least expect it we will be in for a precious gift.

I have a friend who tried for 15 years and had given up. She wanted three or four children and was quite disappointed. Then she got pregnant at 40  And of course was thrilled. They decided to accept their one blessing and not try anymore due to her age. She's a great mom too :)

We have thought about adoption many times.. but have not really pursued it yet.. Part of the reason is because there is definitely hope that we can still conceive naturally, since test results all came back normal. Another part of it is the adoption process is long and costs a lot of money, which we don't have right now.. Yet another part of it is cultural. Adoption is less popurlar among the Vietnamese than perhaps all other nationalities. It's more common for a Vietnamese couple to remain childless than to adopt.

Anyway, the last part is the least of our concern.. for we WILL adopt, once we know for sure we can't conceive on our own. It's just the desire to have a biological kid we have in our hearts are so strong, it's not possible for us to give up yet.

My thoughts are definitely with you. It's oftentimes more frustrating not knowing than it is to have an answer you can start to work with and come to terms with.
